Roasted Asparagus "Al Forno"
2 servings
- 1/2 pound fresh asparagus, peeled
- 1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
- 2 lemon wedges
- fresh ground black pepper
Preheat oven to 500°. Place the asparagus on a baking sheet in a single layer, not touching. Drizzle with the oil.
Roast the asparagus in the upper third of the oven, turning occasionally, until the spears are tender when pierced with a fork. This will take about 8 to 10 minutes, depending on the thickness of the spears.
Place the asparagus on a serving platter. Garnish with lemon wedges and pass the pepper mill at the table
