Moroccan Burgers

4 servings  

  • 1 lb 7% or less extra-lean ground beef
  • 2 Tablespoons dried currants
  • 1 Tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt (or less)
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper

Combine ingredients and shape into 4 patties. Put into your Foreman grill and cook for about 6 minutes or stovetop for about 3-4 minutes on each side.

Note: To keep my intake of beef down, I like to cook up one patty then individually freeze the other 3 patties (for up to 3 months) for later meals.
