Sweet Potatoes & Apples  

3 servings

This meal is tasty enough to be mistaken as a dessert.

  • 1 sliced large sweet potato
  • 2 large, cored, sliced Granny Smith apples
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  •    lemon juice
  •    cinnamon
  • 1 Tablespoon margarine or butter,
       (more or less)

Preheat oven to 350°.

In a buttered baking dish place sliced sweet potatoes alternating with slices of apple and scattering raisins and chopped nuts (walnuts) around as you go. Sprinkle them with lemon juice, dot with margerine, and dust with cinnamon. Cover and bake for about an hour.
